TION) to the motor.
– If the phase sequence is incorrect, the red fault indicator will light up
(in the switch box : the red LED “Left” on the SK 545 lights up.
– In this case the
phase inverter
in the EEC plug should be tightened
and turned by 180° using a suitable screw driver
(Fig. 1, pos.
a).
6.2 Adjusting the motor safety switch:
– The functions of the float switch in connection with the switch box
are as follows:
– Float switch up: Pump on
– Float switch down: Pump off
– The float switch’s connecting cable is, as illustrated in Fig. 1, attach-
ed to the
double T-bracket
on the tubular frame. The connecting
cable is self-clamping
(Fig. 1, pos.
).
The attachment height
should be set in such a way that the float switch which hangs down
remains above the lower edge of the pump. The switching hysteresis
between the point of “on” and “off” is determined by the distance
between the float switch and the point at which the cable is at-
tached.
6.3 Operating condition in potentially explosive locations
The pump may only be operated in potentially explosive
locations once it has been ensured that the pump housing is
continually covered by the flow medium. The switch gear
and the float switch are not explosion-proof, operating these
elements in potentially explosive locations is forbidden.
7. Maintenance
Bearings and seals are maintenance-free.
We would nevertheless recommend that the pump be inspected and
maintained once every six months by WILO customer services.
8. Problems, Causes and Solutions
The following problems/faults are indicated by the indicators in / at
the switch box:
– Should the motor overheat: the pump is switched off by the WSK
(the red LED lights up in the switch box “WSK” at SK 545). Once the
cause of the fault has been removed and the pump has been allo-
wed to cool down, the pump can be operated once again following
the brief disconnection of the switch gear from the mains (Pull the
EEC plug).
– Adjusting the motor safety switch: Once the cause of the fault has
been removed and the protective motor switch has been switched
on again, the fault indicator in the switch box goes off.
– Incorrect rotary field : see section 6.2.
– Water inside of the motor: Should water get into the motor the fault
is indicated as follows by red LEDs on the SK 545: “DI WARNING /
DI SHUT-OFF”. Should this fault occur, please contact WILO cus-
tomer services.
