7 Storage, cleaning and maintenance
WARNING
: Allow the tool to cool down before you start to clean it. Dispose of glue residue in the ap-
propriate waste containers.

Wipe the tool with a clean cloth or blow it out with compressed air at low pressure.
›
We recommend that you clean the tool immediately each time you have finished using it.

Clean the tool regularly with a damp cloth and some soft soap. Do not use cleaning agents or solvents; these
could attack the plastic parts of the tool. Ensure that no water can seep into the tool. The ingress of water
into the tool increases the risk of an electric shock.
WARNING
: Do not store the tool in an environment with temperatures higher than 40 °C.

Store the tool and accessories in a dark and dry place at above freezing temperatures.

Store the tool in its original packaging.
Your tool does not need lubricating oil or other maintenance. Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts.
Most plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of commercial solvents and may be damaged by
their use.
Use clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc. Keep the tool clean, dry and free of oil or grease.
The tool is equipped with a lithium-ion rechargeable battery. To obtain the longest possible battery life, the
following is recommended:

Store the tool where the temperature is below 26 °C and free of moisture.
›
Store the tool in a 30–50% charged condition.
›
Every six months of storage, fully charge the tool and then use it.
WARNING
: To avoid serious personal injury, always unplug the charger before cleaning or performing
any maintenance. Never disassemble the tool. Contact your service dealer/distributor or
for all repairs.
