Take a moment to familiarize yourself with the parts of your new TrayDock. This will aid you in the
remaining steps.

Steps 3 through 8 cover hard drive installation. If you purchased the TrayDock with a drive pre-installed,
you may skip to step 9.

If you are using IDE drives and trays, you
must configure the drive as Master. This is
done via plastic jumpers on the rear of the
drive. If you need help, consult either the
drive’s manual or the drive maker’s website.
Many hard drives also have a diagram
printed on their label.

Unlock the tray using the included key. Pull
straight out on the handle and the tray will
slide out.

There are two connectors to attach to the
drive. In SATA trays, these connectors may
be joined together.
In IDE trays, the connectors are on very
short lead wires so it may be easiest to hold
the hard drive upside down and insert the
IDE cable first, then the four wire power
connector. Be careful when connecting the
IDE cable to avoid bending the pins on the
hard drive.
