6.  Follow the instructions to complete the Setup program and restart the computer.  
7.  Connect the FireWire cable (included) to any FireWire port on your MAC and the other end of 

FireWire cable to the FireWire HDD   

8.  The FireWire HDD will be recognized as an  "UNTITLED"  drive icon on screen
