CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

To maintain the performance of the air purifier, cleaning unit regularly and replacing the filter when needed is
highly recommended.

1. To clean the sensor, make sure that the air purifier is switched
off.

2. Use a damp cotton swab and wipe the sensor, as shown.

3. Dry the sensor with the other end of the cotton swab.

REPLACING 2-in-1 ACTIVATED CARBON AND HEPA FILTER

The recommended change schedule for your 2-in-1 filter pack is every 4 to 6 months under normal air quality con-
ditions or when the icon illuminates on the control panel..

Note: The 2-in-1 ACTIVATED CARBON AND HEPA FILTER is not washable.

1.  Power off the air purifier.
2.  Remove the front cover and washable pre-filter.
3.  Replace the used filter with a new 2-in-1 Activated Carbon Filter and HEPA filter. Re-attach the pre-

filter and replace front cover.

4.  Plug in and turn on unit. Touch and hold the

Sleep icon for 5 seconds to reset the Air Quality

Filter indicator. The Check Filter indicator will turn off,  the

Home icon will illuminate and normal

operation will resume.

5.  Dispose of the used 2-in-1 Activated Carbon Filter and HEPA filter. Do not reuse or wash.

CLEANING THE PRE-FILTER

The Pre-Filter should be cleaned according to the level of pollution in the air of the room.
1.  Remove the Pre-Filter from the air purifier.
2.  Gently wash under lukewarm water for 2 to 3 minutes or until it is completely clean. Clean the Pre-Filter with

caution as the material is fragile. Rinse with clean tap water.

3.  Use a towel to remove any excess water from the Pre-Filter and allow to dry for 12 to 24 hours.
4.  When Pre-Filter is completely dry, place the Pre-filter back into the air purifier.

CLEANING THE PHOTOCATALYST FILTER

The Photocatalyst Filter should be cleaned every 6 months depending on the air quality.

Note: The Photocatalyst FIlter is not washable.

1.  Remove the front cover and the 2-in-1 Activated Carbon Filter and HEPA filter.
2.  Remove the Photocatalyst Filter and use a vacuum cleaner with a nozzle or brush attachment on a

lower power setting to clean the dirt and dust from the filter.

REPLACING THE UV BULB

The UV bulb should be replaced every 6,000 working hours. This is indicated by the blinking of the UV Bulb icon
on the control display. Please contact Whynter Service Department for purchase information of a new UV Bulb.

CLEANING THE AIR PURIFIER

The surface of the air purifier should be cleaned at least once a month or more often depending on the air quality.

1.  Use a clean, dry cloth to wipe the external surfaces.
2.  Use a damp cloth to remove stubborn stains and dirt build up.
3.  Clean the air inlets and outlet with a dry cloth or a vacuum cleaner.

CLEANING THE AIR QUALITY SENSOR

The Air Quality Sensor can be located on the right side of the unit. For best performance, clean the sensor each
time you replace the 2-in-1 Activated Carbon and HEPA Filter.
