  Regardless of the metal detector used when searching, you are

going to dig some trash targets.  Use the tone, display, and depth
reading, to increase the odds of recovering valued metal items.

E. 

 The depth bar graph indication (left side of display) continuously

indicates the depth of the target from 10 plus inches (lower left) to zero
inches on the upper left.  When the P/P is held, the larger numbers next
to the depth bar chart indicates depth more precisely.  40 = 4.0 inches,
25 = 2.5 inches, 85 indiates 8.5 inches.
