CONNECTION OF THE RANGE TO THE GAS LINE FOR MODELS:
WFR7600S Y WER7600S
A combination of splice pipes must be used to connect the range to the existing gas supply line. Your
connection may be different, according to the type of supply line, size and location.
1.
To connect your range, use the material specified in the figure below:
2.
Once your gas line is connected, OPEN the gas supply valve and check that there are no
leaks by pouring
soap bubbles on the connections and elbows of the pipes.
3.
Check that the copper pipe is not damaged or bent in a way that obstructs the passage of gas
to your
range..
DO NOT USE FLAMES TO DETECT GAS LEAKS.
DO NOT USE PLASTIC HOSES FOR GAS CONNECTIONS BECAUSE THEY CAN LEAK, EVEN THOSE
THAT HAVE STEEL MESH ON THEIR SURFACE.
Recommendations:
•
If the installation is not new, clean the pipes to avoid plugging the nozzles.
•
In order to facilitate the movement of the appliance, the installer must make a coil with the
copper
flexible pipe and install a shutoff valve in the gas supply line. This valve must be
outside the range and
accessible to the people who use it.
•
Always use pipes and pressure regulators according to local regulations.
•
Check the validity of the tubes and pressure regulators and replace them if necessary.
•
Tighten all gas connections properly during installation.
•
When moving your range, avoid damaging the gas connection to avoid gas leakage.
Gas Supply Requirements
This range is ready to work with L.P. gas from a mobile or stationary tank.
To use your range with natural gas (pipe) you must call Whirlpool Service to change the nozzle and make
the necessary adjustments. See the “Service” section on p. 22
The qualified technician must carry out the conversion of both the upper burner jets and the range regulator
(in case the model has this); you must make sure that the connection is not leaking and that the gas
pressure in the stove is as shown below:
