Assemble

3/4" U.L.-listed strain relief
(U.L. marking on strain relief) into the
hole below terminal block opening.
Tighten strain relief screws just enough
to hold the two clamp sections
together. Install power supply
cord/cable through the strain relief.

For a grounded, cord-connected
appliance —

GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS:

This appliance must be grounded. In
the event of malfunction or
breakdown, grounding will reduce
the risk of electric shock by providing
a path of least resistance for electric
current.

If using a power supply cord, the plug
must be plugged into an appropriate
outlet that is properly installed and
grounded in accordance with all
local codes and ordinances.

WARNING - Improper connection of
the equipment-grounding conductor
can result in a risk of electric shock.
Check with a qualified electrician or
serviceman if you are in doubt as to
whether the appliance is properly
grounded. Do not modify the plug
provided with the appliance - if it will
not fit the outlet, have a proper outlet
installed by a qualified electrician.

For a permanently connected
appliance —

GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS:

This appliance must be connected to
a grounded metal, permanent wiring
system; or an equipment-grounding
conductor must be run with the
circuit conductors and connected to
the equipment-grounding terminal or
lead on the appliance.

Complete installation following
instructions for your type of
connection:

• Four-wire (recommended method)

• Three-wire (if four-wire is not

available)
