MOUNTING BRACKET
1.
Locate the lighthead mounting bracket. Position the bracket against the
rear bumper in the area shown. When properly oriented, the Whelen logo
should be visible as shown in the Rear Bumper Light Assembly Drawing
below.
2.
Using the bracket as a template, mark the locations for the two, mounting
holes and the wire passage hole.
3.
Using an appropriately sized drill bit, create two clearance holes for 5/16”
mounting hardware in the areas marked in the previous step.
4.
Now create a 1.25” diameter wire passage hole in the area marked in
step 2. Be sure to deburr this hole before continuing.
5.
Using the hardware provided, secure the bracket to the bumper as
shown in the assembly drawing.
6.
Place the lens and lighthead into the housing and insert the screws that
will be used to mount the assembly. IMPORTANT! Make sure the screws
are placed in their correct location (see illustration on following page).
7.
Place the lighthead/housing assembly into position on the outer grille
bracket. Feed the lighthead wires through the grille, making sure that no
wires are pinched between the housing and the grille.
8.
Complete the wiring as outlined in
