Troubleshooting while Vacuum-Sealing
During bag vacuum-sealing, small amounts of liquids, crumbs or food
particles can be accidentally sucked into the air intake.
To prevent blocking the air intake, dry excessive moisture from the food
using a paper towel and if necessary, place a folded paper towel inside the
top of the bag, below the sealing seam.
For storing powdery or fine-grained foods preferably use a canister instead
of a bag. Do not overfill; always allow a margin of approx. 3 cm to the rim of
the canister.
If liquids etc. are sucked into the air intake by mistake, first thoroughly
clean the surface around the air intake (16) and the polyfoam pad (15)
before re-starting the process or vacuum-sealing a new bag.
If the unit does not reach the required vacuum level for some reason, it will
shut off automatically after 30 seconds.
Using the Vacuum Canisters with the Unit
1. Clean the vacuum canisters (not included) and dry thoroughly before first
use.
2. Fill the food resp. the item to be stored into the canister. When filling
powdery food into the canister, make sure not to soil the lid. Allow a margin
of at least 3 cm to the rim of the canister.
3. Close the canister with the lid and turn the
switch as far as it will go towards VERSIEGELT
(SEALED).
4. Insert the suction hose adaptor into the valve (3)
and into the opening of the canister lid.
5. Press the button
Nur Behälter/Canister Only
(9) and wait until the air is sucked from the
canister. As soon as the process is finished, the
control LED turns off. Leave the switch in the
position VERSIEGELT(SEALED) and pull the
suction hose adaptor from the unit and the lid.
For checking the lead tightness of the lid, try to pull out the lid. If it is not
possible to open the lid, the vacuum canister is air tight.
6. To open the lid, first turn the switch to the position OFFEN/OPEN.
Wait until
the “fizzing“ noise stops. Then the lid can be removed
.
If for some reason the unit cannot remove the air inside the canister, it will
shut off automatically after 2 minutes.
