Operation
Intended Use
General-purpose cordless drill for driving screws and for light drilling
applications in wood, metal and plastics.
Unpacking the Tool
Carefully unpack and inspect your cordless drill. Familiarise yourself
with all its features and functions.
Ensure that all parts of the tool are present and in good condition. If
any parts are missing or damaged, have such parts replaced before
attempting to use this tool.
Before Use
Please note that that battery and charger are not included with the tool!
Inserting and Removing the Battery
1. To fit a charged battery, slide it on to the hand grip of the cordless
drill until it clicks and locks into position.
2. To remove the battery (8) from the tool, press the battery release
button, then slide the battery off the hand grip.
WARNING:
Do not try to remove the battery without pressing the
battery release button. The cordless drill or battery could be damaged.
Note:
Make sure the battery and cordless drill are lined up correctly. If
the battery does not slide into the tool easily, do not force it. Instead,
slide the battery out of the tool again, check the top of battery and the
cordless drill battery slot are clean and undamaged and that the
contacts are not bent.
Fitting Drill Bits and Accessories
WARNING: Always remove the battery from the cordless drill before
attaching, adjusting or removing accessories.
WARNING: Do not attempt to tighten drill bits (or any other accessory)
by gripping the front part of the chuck and switching the tool on. This
can lead to personal injury and can cause damage to the chuck.
WARNING: Never fit any accessory or bit with a maximum speed lower
than the no load speed of the power tool.
