Safety Notes
Dispose of used packaging material carefully or store it out of the reach of
children. There is a danger of suffocation!
Make sure, the operating voltage stated on the type label corresponds to
the power mains available in your area.
Please use the unit according to this manual and only for cutting metal
sheets in allowed thicknesses. This applies especially for cutting of double
sheets of iron and locks seams or weld seams. The unit is not intended for
industrial continuous operation.
Make sure that the ON/OFF switch is turned off before connecting the
power plug with mains supply. Please make adjustments and maintenance
work only when the power cable is unplugged.
Keep the plate shear out of reach of children or persons in need of
supervision.
Please wear convenient work clothes. Wear
personally protective clothes as protective goggles,
ear protection and safety gloves.
Do not use the shear near flammable liquids, gases or dust. Sparks may
ignite the dust or fumes.
First switch off the unit before making any adjustments and when the unit
is not in use, after finishing work and maintenance, and then disconnect
the power lead from the mains supply.
Never carry the unit with the cable.
Immediately switch off the unit and do not use it further if
–
sparks fly or a ring-fire in the collector is developing
–
Lubricating oil runs out from the ventilation gaps
–
Trouble on mains plug, power cable, cable protective sleeve or switch
occurs
– smoke or strong odour of insolating material is developing
–
one blade became loose, runs out or is damaged
–
the motor runs irregular or is blocked.
The unit is designed for operation in altitudes of up to 2000 m above sea
level.
Do not disassemble the unit and do not try to repair it yourself. Have the
unit repaired by a professional or contact our customer service. Always
use original replacement parts.
