Operation
saw does not contact the ground. After completing the cut, wait for
the saw chain to stop before removing the machine.
When cutting limbs under tension, always be alert for spring back.
There is risk of injury! Cut such limbs from the underside in order to
avoid jamming the chain saw.
Always be alert when cutting young trees. Thin material can be
jammed in the saw chain.
The chain saw is not designed for trimming bushes.
4. Cutting thick Branches
When cutting off larger branches, you should first cut into the
branch from below. First cut into the branch from below outside the
place where you intend to cut off the branch. The cut should go
from one third to halfway through the branch. This prevents the
branch from buckling when you cut into the branch from the top
outside the first cut. Finally, cut off the stump with one clean cut.
Maintenance
Before cleaning and maintaining the chain saw, disconnect the plug
from power mains. Do not pull the cord to unplug from the wall
socket but grasp the plug itself to unplug.
Always follow the instructions for lubricating, chain tensioning and
changing accessories. An improperly tensioned or lubricated chain
may either break or increase the risk of kickback.
