Maintenance, Cleaning and Storing
For best performance, always keep the saw blade and the reciprocating saw in
good order.
Before carrying out any work on the reciprocating saw, remove the battery
from the battery slot of the saw.
To clean the blade clamp, slightly pat the footplate of the reciprocating saw on
an even surface. To remove bigger cutting residue, clean the blade clamp with
a paintbrush or with compressed air.
Clean the housing with a cloth, a paintbrush or a brush to remove dust and
wood splinters. Always keep the ventilation slots clean and free from
obstructions. Do not allow swarf to enter the ventilation slots.
Never use benzene or similar aggressive chemicals or abrasives for cleaning,
in order not to damage the reciprocating saw.
Do not let liquids of any kind enter the reciprocating saw.
Check that all screws and parts of the reciprocating saw are firmly secured in
regular intervals.
Store the reciprocating saw and the accessory indoors in a dry place that is
protected from dust, dirt and extreme tempertaures.
Store the reciprocating saw out of reach of children and persons in need of
supervision.
