Using
should clean it, and store it in a warm, dry area. Remove the
rechargeable battery to prevent damage to it or to the solar light.
Charge the battery before storing the device and keep it
separated from the lamp.
Exchanging the Battery
The solar lights come complete with one each rechargeable
1.2 V NiMH battery (AA). If it becomes necessary to replace the
battery, replace the old battery with a new battery of the same
type and capacity as the old one (note the specifications on the
original battery).
Turn the solar panel + LED unit (1) a little bit counter clockwise
and remove it from the reflector (2).
Remove the 3 screws on the underside of the solar panel + LED
unit and remove the solar panel.
Insert the new battery with the correct polarity. The inscription in
the battery compartment will inform you of the correct polarity
(plus, +, and minus, –).
Put the solar panel back on the LED unit and secure it with the
3 screws.
Then put the solar panel + LED unit (1) back on the reflector so
its small latches match the corresponding recesses of the reflec-
tor. Turn the solar panel + LED unit clockwise to fix it in place. Do
not use force when assembling the unit.
To ensure consistently good performance, we recommend that
you replace the rechargeable battery every 12 months. The
rechargeable battery should be replaced immediately when the
lamp lights up for only a short period at night even though the
battery was sufficiently charged during the day.
The solar light needs about two or three sunny days for its
rechargeable battery to be charged to a maximum.
