Operation
Ensure good contact between the probes and the testes object
during the resistance test. Dirt or other forms of contamination on
the test probes or leads of the resistor may result in incorrect read-
ings.
If the measuring range is exceeded the display will show the
overload symbol “OL“.
Continuity Test Function
With this function you can check circuitry, cables or components for
continuity.
Attention: Never attempt to perform continuity test on voltage-carrying
components or circuitry.
Procedure
1. Connect the red probe to
the “V
Ω
“ input (13) and the
black probe to the COM
input (5).
2. Slide the function switch
(10) to position “
Ω
“. You
will hear a sound and on
the display “OL“, the unit
“
Ω
“ and simultaneously the
continuity test symbol
“ “ appears.
3. Now connect the measuing
probes to the component you intend to measure (fuse ore wire etc.).
4. The display shows the measuring value in Ohm and the analogue
bar diagram.
5. If the resistance is under 40
Ω
you will hear a signal sound and the
current resistance value is displayed. This means that the compo-
nent or the circuitry is continuous.
