Switching off the Warm Keeping Function
If you do not want to use the warm keeping function after cooking process, pull
the plug from mains supply.
For keeping warm remaining rice, pile up the rice to a small pyramid in the
centre of the inner pot.
Do not use the warm keeping mode for:

Keeping warm rice with side dishes (vegetables, spices)

For heating up/keeping warm ready cooked food such as croquettes,
soups etc.

For heating up cold rice
-
For keeping warm rice over a long period of time (for more than 10 hours).
The rice will become dry and yellow.
Troubleshooting
Cause
Reason/Solution
Power Control Lights do
not turn on
Check if the power plug if inserted.
Check if there are foreign objects between the inner
pot and the base unit. Ensure a clean heating
element.
Water escape during
cooking process
Resp. too much water is used.
Resp. unsuitable rice is used (e. g. boil-in-the-bag
rice)
The rice is dry and still
hard after cooking
Resp. too less water is used; After cooking process,
add 1/4 cup of hot water and leave the rice for
approx. 15 minutes in the warm keeping mode to
rest. Then stir the rice and serve.
Stir the rice as soon as cooking process is finished.
Otherwise the rice might form lumps and the
surface of the rice will be hard.
The cooked rice is too
watery
Resp. too much water is used.
Resp. the cooking process is stopped in between.
This will lead to unevenly cooked rice.
