Technical Data
depth and turn counter clockwise to reduce the milling depth.
7. During work hold the weld point milling machine firmly with both hands.
8. Press the trigger (4) and press down the machine against the weld point, so
the support (1) will slightly move inwards. This way the milling drill can remove
the weld point from the sheet material.
9. First disconnect the air milling machine from the air supply when replacing the
milling drill, when not using the unit, after finished working and when applying
maintenance work. Press the trigger in order to remove any remaining air from
the milling machine.
If the result of the work is not satisfactory, check the milling drill for wear and
replace it with new one of the same type.
Air Pressure and Air Volume
Operate the air milling machine with a pressure of 6.2 bar (90 psi). Exceeding
the max. permitted pressure level of 8 bar will significantly reduce the lifetime
of the tool. Operate the air milling machine using a compressor with an air
suction capacity of > 240 l/min.
Only use air hoses with an inner diameter of at least 9 mm. When setting up
the air pressure, always keep in mind that the pressure will decrease by
approx. 0.6 bar when using a 10 m long hose with an inner diameter of 9 mm.
Maintenance and Care
To ensure proper functionality and a long lifetime, diligent lubrication and
maintenance are essential.
For operating pneumatic tools clean air is required. Corrosion residues, dust
and dirt from the pneumatic pipes reduce the efficiency of the tool and will
cause technical problems. An upstream maintenance unit consisting of filter,
pressure regulator valve and lubricating equipment removes moisture and dirt
from the air, controls the working pressure and supplies the tool perfectly with
lubricating oil.
If necessary, clean the unit with a moist cloth.
Do not use abrasive or aggressive chemicals as benzene or thinner, which
may dissolve plastic parts.
Do not allow liquids to enter the unit and never immerse it into liquids. Water in
the compressed air inlet can damage the machine. Therefore it is recom-
mended to drain the air lines and the compressor regularly! The air filters
should be cleaned at least once a week.
