Operation
Notes on Operation
Apply the metal shears to the workpiece only when it is switched on.
Do not tilt the tool to the side.
Before starting to cut, lightly oil the cutting line on the sheet metal.
Work only with a low feed rate when cutting curves.
An initial bore is required for cut-outs.
Never cut with blunt blades.
Exchanging the Blade
Replace worn or blunt blades as follows:
Use the supplied Allen key (7) to loosen and to remove both Allen screws (2)
from the tool head. Pay attention to the two spacer rings which will fall out of
the tool head when removing the blades.
Remove the blade insert (1) that consists of the left shear blade, the blade and
the right shear blade.
Insert the three parts of the new blade insert in the same order into the tool
head and attach them using the two Allen screws. Pay attention to install the
two spacer rings at their designated destinations. Before re-assembling, you
may loosen the third Allen screw for 1 or 2 turns in order to allow inserting the
three parts easier.
Perform a short test run.
