Troubleshooting
Fault Cause Solution
Engine does
not start 1) No fuel
2) No spark on the spark plug
3) No oil (Oil Alert System)
4) Gas cock is closed
5) ON/OFF switch is in position
OFF 1) Fill fuel
2) If necessary clean or
replace spark plug
3) Refill oil
4) Open gas cock
5) Set ON/OFF switch to ON
Engine cannot
be started or
switch off after
some time 1) No fuel
2) No spark on the spark plug
3) No oil (Oil Alert System)
4) Throttle lever is in wrong
position
5) Gas cock is closed
6) Choke in wrong position 1) Fill fuel
2) If necessary clean or
replace spark plug
3) Refill oil
4) Change position of throttle
lever
5) Open gas cock
6) Push choke lightly forth or
back
Engine vibrates
and does not
run smoothly 1) Screws are loosened 1) Tighten the screws
Engine slows
down 1) Air filter is clogged or dirty

Rotating auger
does not rotate 1) Tension of cable pull is not
adjusted correctly
2) Belt comes off 1) Adjust tension of the cable
pull with the adjusting sleeve
and fix with the lock nut
2) Refit the belt
Snow is not
thrown out 1) Discharge chute is blocked
2) Rotating auger is clogged
3) Rotating auger does not
rotate 1) Remove obstruction with
wooden stick
2) Clean the rotating auger
and remove foreign objects
3) Adjust the cable pull
