Operation
Attaching the Auxiliary Handle and the Depth Limiter
1. Slide the auxiliary handle (2) over the drill chuck (1) onto the neck of the
machine and adjust it as desired. After that, turn it clockwise in order to
clamp it in place.
2. The depth limiter (13) is attached to the auxiliary handle. Slide the depth
limiter with the knurled side down into the opening (7) in the auxiliary
handle.
Attaching the Tool
The machine is equipped with an SDS-Plus drill chuck (1). With this chuck tool
changes are executed in a simple and convenient way without having to use
any tools.
In the SDS chuck the tool bit is guided by two rails, which also provide the
power transfer from the machine to the tool. The tool is retained in the chuck
by a steel ball.
1. Before inserting the tool, pull back the
plastic ring of the chuck. Now insert the
tool.
2. It may be necessary to slightly turn the
tool until the slots in the tool and the rails
in the chuck slide into each other. Now
the tool can be inserted as far as it will
go.
3. Now release the plastic ring. The steel
ball will now hold the tool in place.
4. Check the locking by pulling the tool. You should be able to move the tool,
but it must not be possible to pull out the tool.
5. Pull back the plastic ring to remove the tool. Now you can pull out the tool.
In impact drill mode, there will be continuous friction between the chuck
and the tool. It is advisable to grease the shaft of the tool with machine
grease.
