Start Up and Operation
U x I = P (Voltage x Current in Ampere = Power in Watt) e.G. 230 V x 2 A =
460 W
Special Hints
Disconnect the power converter:
- while it is not in use.
- when the engine of the vehicle is started.
- while the battery is charged with a charger.
Please keep in mind that the battery is discharged during use. When the
warning noise sounds and the LED lights up red (battery voltage under
10.5 V ± 0.5 V), the connected consumer and the power converter should
be turned off. Otherwise the power converter will turn off soon (voltage
under 10 V ± 0.5 V), to avoid deeply discharging the battery. The engine
should be started to recharge the battery, preferably while driving.
Make sure the power cables are connected correctly as described above
(correct polarity!).
These actions lead to the DESTRUCTION of the power converter:
- Incorrect Connection (Switched Polarity)
- Power Converter and Charger connected to the Battery simultane-
ously.
- Connection of the power converter to a power source with a voltage
higher than 16.5 V ± 1 V DC
- Excessive Inductive Loads
. The connected battery should have a capacity of at least 45 Ah. With such a
battery the maximum duration with a maximum load is about 50 minutes,
depending on the condition of the battery. We recommend using the power
converter with batteries of between 45 and 90 Ah. The larger the capacity of
your battery is, the longer your consumers can be operated.
