Operating
Before first Use
Clean the appliance before using the first time as described below under
“Cleaning”. Store packaging material out of reach of children.
Operating the Single Cooking Plate
1. Place the single cooking plate on a solid, level surface.
2. Connect the unit only to an earthed wall socket. Make sure the rotary switch
is turned up to the end counter clockwise. The MIN marking on the rotary
switch has to point to the red marker point.
3. Place the pot or the pan centrally on the cooking plate.
Standard pots and pans with even smoothened bottom can be used on the
cooking plate. Never heat up the cooking plate without pot or pan.
4. Turn the rotary switch clockwise in order to increase the temperature. The
setting is from 1 – 5 and then up to MAX.
Use the temperature settings 1 – 3 for simmering resp. heating up and the
settings 4 – MAX for cooking meals.
5. After each use turn the rotary switch as far as it will go counter clockwise and
allot the cooking plate to cool down completely.
Always pull the power plug
in order to completely switch off the unit.
Cleaning
Unplug the appliance from the power mains before cleaning.
Allow the single cooking plate to cool down fully before cleaning.
Wipe the housing with a lightly moistened cloth. Use detergent as needed.
Clean the hotplate with standard hotplate cleaners, such as the hotplate
cleaner set from Westfalia, article no. 406363.
Do not clean the appliance with aggressive chemicals or abrasives in order
not to damage the surface.
Do not immerse the appliance in liquids and do not use too much water for
cleaning.
