Using
Battery Type and Setting
Charging a Battery (permanently installed in a vehicle)
1. Remove the power plug of the charger from the socket.
2. Check the polarity of the battery and observe which pole is
connected to the chassis for grounding. Normally the minus pole
is earthed.
3. To charge a negative earthed battery, proceed as follows:
Connect the red quick clamp (5) to the plus pole of the
battery and the black quick clamp (6) to the vehicle chassis.
In some vehicles the battery is positive earthed. To charge such
a positive earthed battery, proceed as follows:
Connect the black quick clamp to the negative pole and the
red quick clamp to the vehicle chassis.
4. Insert the power plug of the battery charger into a socket.
Charging a Battery (not connected in a vehicle)
1. Remove the power plug of the charger from the socket.
2. Check the polarity of the battery.
3. Connect the red quick clamp (5) to the plus pole and the black
quick clamp (6) to the minus pole of the battery.
4. Insert the power plug of the battery charger into a socket.
