Cutting Branches
When cutting off lager branches, first cut into the branch from below. Cut the
branch outside the place where you intend to cut off (see first cut). This
prevents the branch from buckling due to its weight.
Now cut the branch from the top outside the first cut (second cut).
Finally, cut off the stump with one clean cut.
It is not necessary to force the saw chai into the cut. Allow the motor to run with
full speed and apply only light pressure while cutting. If the saw chain becomes
jammed into the cut, never force the saw chain and do not try to pull out the guide
bar while the motor is running.
