Using
Before first Use
Remove the pressure test pump out of the packaging. Keep packaging
materials out of reach of children. There is risk of suffocation. Dispose off
packaging material or store it out of reach of children. Plastic bags etc. might
become a deadly toy for small children.
Preparation
Prior to starting the pressure test pump, please carefully read and observe the
following instructions:
Work on tube/pipe systems and pressure vessels as well as on solar
systems may only be carried out by specially trained and approved
personnel.
Please read the manual carefully before operating the pressure test pump.
The pressure inside the test pump is extreme high. Always make sure that
all pressure connections are tight and connected properly.
Note that the proper function of the test pump depends on the cleanliness
of the test medium. So only fill clean water, oil or glycol (antifreeze) into
the tank. Pay attention to the MIN and the MAX mark printed on the inside
of the tank. Fill at least 1.1 litres and a maximum of 11.5 litres into the
tank. Turn down the securing hook (2) to unlock the pumping lever (1).
Using
1. First connect the hose with the R ½” hose connection (3) to the system to
be tested. Open the valve V1 (9) and close the valve V2 (10). Turn the
valves counter clockwise to open the valves and turn the valves clockwise
to close the valves.
2. Open the valves or cocks of the test system and use the pumping lever to
fill water or oil into the system. If necessary, fill in large quantities of water
(e.g. for newly installed pipes) with a water hose into the system and then
connect the test pump to build the appropriate pressure.
3. Pump until the required pressure is reached. The drag pointer (8) moves
along the black pointer. The pressure that has been reached can be read
on the scale. The pressure gauge has a precision scale with 3 interna-
tional measuring units (bar, psi and MPa).
Pressure range in bar: 0 - 60 (1 bar resolution)
Pressure range in psi: 0 - 860 (20 psi resolution)
Pressure range in MPa: 0 - 6 (0.1 MPa resolution)
