5. Carefully insert the EPROM upgrade into socket U6.

a) Make certain the EPROM is properly oriented in relation

to the board. The notch on the EPROM must align with

the notch in the white silkscreen ink on the main logic

board as shown in Figure 7.1.

b) Inspect the EPROM to make certain all pins are correctly

seated, and no pins have been bent during installation.

6. Replace the Top Cover. Replace the power cable and power

ON the PollCat III.

7. Access the PollCat III Command Mode:

a) Reset parameters to default settings, type

^B50,2

[Enter]

.

b) Clear all stored records, type

^B39,2

[Enter]

.

c) Restore saved parameters as described in Section 8 of the

PollCat III User's Guide.

8. Invoke command ^B16 to display the System Status Screen.

Review system parameters, paying particular attention to any

new parameters added by the EPROM update.

Note:

When PollCat III's operating firmware is revised,

functions of individual parameters and commands are

often re-defined. After installing an upgrade EPROM

and re-loading previously saved parameters, carefully

review all parameters, formats, alarm clues and data

filters. Change parameters as needed to fit your

application.

9. Re-attach PBX cable(s) and check the PollCat III to make

certain it is receiving call records.

If you have any questions regarding the EPROM upgrade, please

contact WTI Customer Service as described in Appendix F.
