STEP 3 - ADD GASOLINE

Use fresh (within 30 days from purchase), lead-free gasoline with
a minimum of 87 octane rating. Do not mix oil with gasoline.

To add gasoline, follow these steps:

1. Make sure the tamping rammer is on a level surface.

2. Unscrew fuel cap and set aside.

NOTE: The fuel cap may be tight and hard to unscrew.

3. Slowly add unleaded gasoline to the fuel tank. Be careful not to
overfill. The capacity of the fuel tank is .66 gallons.

NOTE:  Do  not  fill  the  fuel  tank  to  the  very  top.  Gasoline  will
expand and spill over during use even with the fuel cap in place.

4. Reinstall fuel cap and wipe clean any spilled gasoline with a dry
cloth.

STEP 4 - CHECK FOR LOOSE PARTS

Before  using  the  tamping  rammer,  always  check  for  broken  or
loose parts. Any screw, bolt or nut runs the risk of loosening due
to the vibratory nature of this machine. Always make sure to prop-
erly tighten these types of parts prior to operation to best prevent
injury. Remove dirt and dust, particularly around the area of the
recoil starter and the foot of the machine.

WHICH SIDE TO STAND ON

During operation, users must stand on the gas tank/throttle side
of the tamping rammer (the higher handle of the two sides). The
other side of the tamping rammer features a spinning transporta-
tion handle. This handle is strictly for helping during transporta-
tion (below). Do not stand on this side of the unit during opera-
tion, as this is the direction that the rammer progresses.

IMPORTANT:

• Never use an oil/gasoline mixture.

• Never use gasoline over 30 days old.

• Avoid getting dirt or water into the fuel

tank.

• Gasoline can age in the tank and make

starting  difficult.  Never  store  tamping
rammer  for  extended  periods  of  time
with fuel in the tank.
