1. Make sure you are in distance measuring mode depicted by the arrow symbol       . If you’re in a different mode,

press the mode button       until you see the arrow symbol on the screen.

2. Make sure to set your measuring device’s reference point and units (see p. 8).

3. Hold down the measurement button         for two seconds. You are now in continuous measuring mode. As the

distance between the reference point and target point changes, the measurement will update on the screen and

you will hear a tone. Press the measurement button to exit continuous measuring mode.

NOTE:

The device will not save the measurements while you are in continuous measuring mode. The laser stays

on the duration of the continuous measurement. DO NOT shine the laser towards people or animals.

MEASURING VOLUME

The volume measuring function is made for measuring the volume of a rectangular prismatic space. This function

is depicted by the cube symbol      .

OPERATION

WARNING:

Do not direct the laser beam at persons or animals. Do not stare into the direct or reflected

laser beam, not even from a distance. Looking into the laser beam or directing the laser beam into someone’s
eyes can cause eye damage, blindness, and cause accidents.

1. Make sure you are in volume measuring mode depicted by the

cube symbol      . If you’re in a different mode, press the mode button

until you see the cube symbol on the screen.

2. Make sure to set your measuring device’s reference point and units

(see p. 8).

3. If the laser beam is not ON, press the measurement button         to

activate the laser. You will see the laser icon     in the top left corner

when the laser is activated. Aim the laser to measure the length. Press

the measurement button         again to take the measurement. The

value will be seen on your display.

4. Repeat step 3 two more times to measure the width, and height.

The volume will automatically calculate after the third measurement is

taken. The value of the last measurement will be seen on the top row

of your screen and the volume will be on the bottom. Your screen will

look like Fig. 6.

NOTE:

A line will appear on the edge of the volume symbol to

indicate which measurement you are recording.

CONTINUOUS MEASURING

The continuous measuring setting allows you to move the device and

receive updated measurements every few seconds.

Fig. 6

NOTE:

The laser will automatically

shut off after 30 seconds of inactiv-

ity to prolong battery life and limit

accidents.

NOTE:

 The bottom number on your

display is the current measurement

being recorded. If you take multiple

measurements, the previous mea-

surement moves to the top row.
