Scaffold Introduction and Guideline_TUV
Before scaffold erection, the trained and competent workers should check the location of the
scaffold to prevent hazards during erection and dismantling, moving with respect to the
ground conditions, level and slope, obstructions and wind conditions.
It shall be checked that all parts, auxiliary tools and safety equipment (ropes, etc.) for erect-
ing the scaffold are available on site.
1. Lay out all the components and check if there is
any wreckage and missing components. Damaged or
incorrect components shall not be used.
2. Assemble the leg and castor/base plate combo
and plug them into the base of frames. The safety lock
has to be ‘clicked’ for completing the plugging. Stand up
the frames and lock up the castors by applying the
brake.
3. Start with 4 rung frames at the base.
4. Snap the horizontal bracings onto the base rungs
of the frame. Make sure the horizontal bracing are
applied in our designated manner.
5. Snap the diagonal bracing in a ‘1:3’ manner.
