to reignite the arc. Hold the cutting torch vertically
during the cut. After the cut is complete and the button
is released, air will continue to be released from the
cutting torch for approximately 30 seconds to allow the
torch itself to cool.
Do not switch off the device until this time has
elapsed.
If holes are to be made or if the
cut is to be made from the centre of a workpiece, the
cutting torch must be held at an angle and slowly
straightened so that the molten material does not end
up on the nozzle. This is necessary when piercing
workpieces thicker than 3 mm. If you have to cut
through several layers of metal, which is normally the
case in bodywork, you must set the cutting current to
the minimum values.
Switch off the device after finishing the work.

-
The electrode must be replaced when it has a hole
on the front side of about 1 mm.
-
The cutting sleeve must be replaced when the hole is
no longer evenly round and the cutting capacity is
reduced.
-
The insulation ring must be replaced when it has
turned black in some places. Due to its small size, it
is very important that the ring is properly aligned
during assembly.
-
The cutting attachment must be replaced if the
insulating part is damaged.
-
Check that the electrode
(5)
, insulation ring
(6)
and
cutting sleeve
(7)
are fitted properly, and that the
cutting sleeve holder
(8)
is screwed in tightly.
Failure to do so may compromise the operation of
the unit and, in particular, the safety of the operator.
