Directions for use
Ensure that your conservatory has a regulated air flow, i.e. that
there is a regulated flow of ventilated and extracted air, and that
heating and shading systems are available for use as needed. This
is the only way to ensure that your conservatory is safeguarded
from exposure to moisture (condensation) and excessive heat.
2.1
How to combat moisture in the conservatory
• Moisture or condensation are not necessarily indications of errors
in the construction itself or the materials used. In most cases,
moisture or condensation occur due to a lack of ventilation and
extraction or insufficient heating.
• Air will store moisture if the conservatory is not ventilated to a
sufficient degree. Once the air has absorbed as much moisture as
possible, moisture forms in the shape of condensation, starting
out with the coldest surfaces in the conservatory. As a rule, front
and corner areas are the first to be affected. Over time, mildew
or mould may form as a result.
• People, plants, adjacent rooms (especially a kitchen or bath-
room), or newly erected buildings are all possible sources of
moisture.
• It is therefore important that you ensure there is sufficient
ventilation, including in critical areas that have no air circulation,
such as corner posts or behind furniture.
• The heating system should be set to an appropriate level. This is
especially applicable at night when the heating is turned down
to conserve energy.
• If condensation forms in your conservatory even though you
have provided for sufficient heating and ventilation, please
contact your retailer or partner.
Regular maintenance, care and proper use of your conservatory will
ensure that it will have a long useful life.
We therefore recommend that you carry out the above-mentioned
tasks at regular intervals, and especially when they fall due, so that
you may enjoy your conservatory for many years to come.
