
7. Checking the tidal volume and pAW alarm
The LEDs on the ventilation pressure display light up to
40 mbar – 45 mbar.
Select the following settings:
Via the adjusting knob:
Vt = 950 ml | Freq. = 10 bpm
Via pMax button with control LEDs:
pMax = 45 mbar
The device triggers the pAW alarm after the third mechanical breath
at 40 mbar – 50 mbar without simulated expiration.
After the manually simulated expiration (depress the testing bag with
your hand flat and then release again), the device refills the testing bag
completely.
Information: In combination with the testing bag, these settings can
cause the pAW alarm to be triggered. The alarm can be ignored
during this test step.
