Tool Measurement
The process of tool measurement refers to the process of establishing the concrete position of
workpiece coordinate system (WCS) in the machine coordinate system (MCS).
With the help of a tool presetter (also called tool sensor or calibration block), tool measurement is
realized. As shown in Fig. 3-14, there are ports on the terminal board corresponding to CUT and COM
on the tool presetter. If necessary, such port as ―Over-travel Protection‖ can be added to the terminal
board according to customers‘ needs. According to the different installation positions of tool presetter,
tool measurement is divided into mobile calibration, fixed calibration, first calibration/calibration after tool
change.

Software Interface
In auto mode, turn to [Coor-Auto (A)] sub-screen under [State], and press F5
―Tool cali‖ button to
open the
―calibration interface‖, shown in Fig. 3-16, and then pressing ―F1, F2, and F5‖ will execute ―first
calibration‖, ―second calibration‖ and ―mobile calibration‖ respectively.
