The outside dimensions of crimped wire-end ferrules must
conform with IEC-60947-1, table 7. We recommend the fol-
lowing tools for crimping:
–
crimping tool for wire-end ferrules from 0.25 mm² to
6 mm² with a trapezoidal indentation crimp, type: PZ 6/5
ZERT (Order No. 9017900000).
–
crimping tool for wire-end ferrules from 6 mm² to
16 mm² with an indentation crimp, type: PZ 16 ZERT
(Order No. 9017340000).
maxGUARD modules are equipped with PUSH IN connec-
tions. Solid and fine-strand wires with wire-end ferrules can
be inserted without the need for tools.
Fine-strand wires can be inserted using tools.

Secure the connection pusher with a slotted screwdriver
and simultaneously insert the wire.

radii comply with the manufacturer’s specifications.

Connect all wires in accordance with the wiring diagram.
All wires used to wire the maxGUARD station can
be fed in from below. A cable conduit above the
maxGUARD station is not required.
8.6 Insulation tests
Insulation tests on the maxGUARD station must be carried
out before each commissioning and in accordance with the
respective national provisions.
