Check and adjust the belt and
tensioning
The belt is automatically tensioned with a
tensioner.
Inspect the alternator belt and the
fan drive belts for wear and for
cracking. Replace the belts if the
belts are not in good condition as
shown A and B.
Slippage of loose belts can reduce
the
efficiency
of
the
driven
components. Vibration of loose belts
can cause unnecessary wear on the
following components:
Belts, pulleys and bearings

If the belts are too tight, unnecessary
