blades away from your body.

S

Secure the unit before storing or transport-

ing it in a vehicle.

S

Store unit so blades cannot accidentally

cause injury.

S

Do not store near fertilizers or chemicals

which can corrode metal parts.

S

Store unit indoors in a high, dry place out of

the reach of children.

S

Do not hang unit so that the trigger switch is

depressed.

BATTERY CARE

S

If over a period of time the battery pack

quickly runs down after a full 5--6 hour

charging period, a replacement battery

pack is needed.

S

There will be some charge present in the bat-

tery pack, but to ensure maximum running

time, recharge your battery pack for 5--6

hours before use.

S

To prevent permanent battery damage, never

store in a discharged condition.

S

Contact your authorized service dealer for

a replacement battery pack and for safe

disposal of your old battery pack.

DOUBLE INSULATION

CONSTRUCTION

The charger supplied with this unit is double

insulated to help protect against electric

shock. Double insulation construction con-

sists of two separate “layers” of electrical in-

sulation instead of grounding.

Tools built with this insulation system are not

intended to be grounded. No grounding

means is provided on this unit, nor should a

means of grounding be added to this unit.

Safety precautions must be observed when

operating any electrical tool. The double in-

sulation system only provides added protec-

tion against injury resulting from an internal

electrical insulation failure.

WARNING:

All electrical repairs to

this unit, including housing, switch, motor,

wires, etc., must be diagnosed and repaired

by qualified service personnel. Replacement

parts for a double insulated appliance must be

recommended by the manufacturer. A double

insulated appliance is marked with the words

“double insulation” or “double insulated”. The

symbol (square within a square)

may also

be marked on the appliance. Failure to have

the unit repaired by qualified service person-

nel can cause the double insulation construc-

tion to become ineffective and result in seri-

ous injury.
