GUIDE BAR
When the guide bar is removed, clear sawdust in the bar groove and the oiling port (1). Grease the nose
sprocket (3) from the grease port (2) on the tip of the bar using a grease gun.
OTHERS
Check for fuel leakage and loose fastenings and damage to major parts, especially handle joints and guide bar
mounting. If any defects are found, make sure to have them repaired before operating again.
SERVICE POINTS
CYLINDER FINS
Dust clogging between the cylinder fins will cause overheating of the engine. Periodically check and clean the
cylinder fins after removing the air cleaner and the cylinder cover. When installing the cylinder cover, make
sure that switch wires and grommets are positioned correctly in place.
FUEL FILTER
Using a wire hook, take out the filter from the filler port. Disassemble the filter and wash with petrol or replace
with a new one if needed.
IMPORTANT - After removing the filter, use a pinch to hold the end of the suction
pipe. When assembling the filter, take care not to allow filter fibres or dust inside the suction pipe.
MAINTENANCE, CLEANING & STORAGE
WARNING
Improper maintenance & storage of the machine may void your warranty. Keep the machine clean for better
and safer performance. Ensure the machine is stored in a dry room, away from any direct sunlight.
Turn off the engine before performing any maintenance. If the engine must be run, make sure the area is
well ventilated. The exhaust emits dangerous carbon monoxide gases.
MACHINE MAINTENANCE
Use only original equipment replacement parts. Other parts may not perform as well, may damage the unit
and may result in injury. In addition, use of other parts may invalidate your warranty.
•
Before each use, check all nuts & bolts to be sure they are sufficiently tightened.
•
We recommend only manufacturer original parts are used when maintaining this machine. Failure to do so
could invalidate your manufacturer’s warranty.
•
The engine must be switched off, with the spark plug cap removed, before the machine is unassembled,
cleaned, serviced or maintained.
AIR FILTER
Dust on the air filter surface can be removed by tapping a corner of the filter against a hard surface. To clean
dirt in the meshes, split the filter into halves and brush in gasoline. When using compressed air, blow from the
inside.
To assemble the filter halves, press the rim until it clicks.
OILING PORT
Dismount the guide bar and check the oiling port (1) for clogging.
