General References
• Bare body parts, around drilled holes for example, must be treated with an anti-corrosive coating.
• Secure hoses, cables and wiring harnesses with cable ties and fit protective hoses around them at chafing
points.
• Fit edge protectors (grommet, split-loom, etc.) to sharp edges.
1. Vehicle Preparation
-
Disconnect the battery. Refer to the manufacturer’s instructions.
-
Drain the vehicle’s coolant system. Refer to the manufacturer’s instructions.
-
Recover the refrigerant from the vehicle’s A/C system.
-
Remove the following components:
o
Driver’s side step-well trim
o
Driver’s side lower B-pillar trim
o
Driver’s side knee bolster
o
Driver’s side interior panels (if equipped)
After drilling or cutting always protect bare metal from corrosion.

ning the installation, review this installation manual and determine if a different order would be more
appropriate in your individual situation.
