Step 02. Embrace
1 . With your left hand, gently guide baby’s feet
down, across the left side of your body, into the
sling. By placing baby’s feet correctly first, the rest
of their body will follow naturally. Baby’s legs can
stay in or outside the sling, depending on the
length of baby.
2 . Use your right hand to support baby’s head as
you gently lay them in position in the sling.
3 . Use the upper rail as a cushion to support the
back of baby’s neck, and the excess fabric can
then be pulled up to support the rest of the baby’s
head. Ensure baby’s head is not completely inside
the sling.
4 . Baby should now be nicely positioned
horizontally in the hammock-shaped sling,
with their head resting close to your right breast
– perfect for breastfeeding or sleeping. With a
younger or smaller baby, their feet should stay
inside the sling.
