Step 01. Attach
This is how you place a tiny baby (born prematurely or of low birth
weight) into the Smile. It is slightly more delicate than placing an
average-sized baby due to the positioning of the
sling and baby.
Put your Smile on, but on this occasion ensure the sling is
positioned slightly higher than your hip.
1 . Assuming the Smile is on your left shoulder, place baby in the
‘burping position’ high up on your opposite shoulder.
2 . Holding baby securely with your right hand, slide your left
hand across your body, underneath and through the sling,
and take hold of both baby’s little feet with your left hand.
3 . With your right hand lift up the upper rail to meet baby.
