Installation
Unpack the contents of the BB-M101 carton and confirm all
components are present in the kit. A complete kit includes
monitor, flow meter, meter cable, power transformer/cable and
monitor mounting hardware. If any components are missing,
please contact your Watts representative.
1. Install the 1" flow meter in the in the conditioned water outlet
line of the system it is monitoring. The arrow on the flow meter
must point in the direction of water flow. See Figure 1.
Use PTFE plumbing tape only on the meter threads.
2. Lift up on tab at bottom center of BB-M101 monitor
display screen and separate display screen from base. A small
amount of force will be required for separation due to the
internal interconnecting plug between the base and monitor.
See Figure 2 for display screen and base separation.
3. Mount the BB-M101 monitor base to the mounting surface.
Mounting hardware is provided for drywall mounting. Installer to
provide additional hardware for alternate mounting surface types.

U-M101 monitor related retrofits.

Locate any hidden electrical wires or plumbing before drilling
into mounting surface to mount monitor. Select mounting
location to ensure monitor will not come into contact with
water of any kind.
Meter and power cables are 59" long. Select monitor mounting
location to accommodate connection to meter and electrical outlet.

4. Press monitor display fully into base to mount display screen
to base.
5. Connect monitor cable to meter cable.
6. Plug power supply transformer into GFCI electrical outlet and
follow the instructions beginning on page 7 of this for product
set up and operation.
