Installation and Start-up
As items are removed from carton, please confirm that all items
required are included in the kit and ready for assembly.
1. Turn off water heater(s).
2. Turn off the main water supply to the installation area and
open a downstream faucet to relieve any pressure within
the plumbing system.
3. Place the system in the desired location. Make sure that
the location is level and sturdy enough to support the
weight of the system while in operation.
4. If using the optional bypass valve # CKV3006, place the
bypass valve in the up flow service position. See Optional
Bypass Valve-Required Modification Detail.
5. Assemble and install the connection fittings into the inlet
and outlet ports.
6. Connect the cold water supply to the inlet of the OneFlow
system. NOTE: The OneFlow system operates in the
UP-flow mode which is opposite of a conventional
softener. Follow the plumbing diagram in Figure 1.
7. Install a supply valve (user supplied) in the supply line
and close it. If not using the optional bypass valve
CK-V3006, also construct a 3 valve bypass according
to the installation diagram on page 10 so the system
can be isolated during maintenance. Place either bypass
type into the Service position.

NOTICE
Fill in install date and rebed due date on product label located
on front of each tank as reminder to replace OneFlow media
every 3 years.
The system is now ready for operation.
8. Place a bucket under the outlet port or run a line from the
outlet port to a drain.
9. Turn the water back on to the installation area and slowly
open the supply valve to the OneFlow system. Allow
the tank to fill with water. Close the supply valve when a
steady stream of water comes out of the outlet port. If
the outlet is flowing into a bucket, water could splash on
nearby objects. If this threatens the safety, value, structure,
or appearance of these objects, protect/remove them or
use the outlet hose to drain option. Wait 4 hours for media
to fully hydrate.
10. Close the downstream faucet.
11. Connect the outlet of the OneFlow system to the pipe
requiring conditioned water. Install the 1" flow meter in the
in this conditioned water outlet line connecting it directly
to the outlet systems outlet connection fitting using the 1"
FNPT X FNPT coupling provided. The arrow on the flow
meter must point in the direction of water flow. Use PTFE
plumbing tape only as thread sealer on the meter threads.
12. Lift up on tab at bottom center of U-M311 display screen
and separate display screen from base. A small amount
of force will be required for separation due to the internal
interconnecting plug between these two pieces. See page
9 for additional information.
13. Mount the U-M311 monitor base to its mounting surface
then reattach the display screen by aligning the screen and
firmly pressing it back onto the mounting base. Mounting
hardware is provided for drywall mounting. Installer to provide
additional hardware for alternate mounting surface types.
Select mounting location to ensure monitor will not come
into contact with water of any kind. See Figure 2 for
mounting detail.
Press the display screen back onto the base.
14. Connect monitor cable to meter cable.
15. Plug monitor transformer into GFCI electrical outlet and
follow the steps for set up and connecting monitor to
Wi-Fi. See page 11 for additional set up information.
16. Open the supply valve to the OneFlow system.
17. Open hot and cold faucets downstream from the OneFlow
system to relieve any air from the plumbing system and
water heaters. Then close the faucets.
18. Check for leaks. Repair as needed.
19. Turn on water heater(s).
20. The system is now ready for operation.
WARNING
!
Locate any hidden electrical wires or plumbing before
drilling into mounting surface to mount monitor.
