The WATTLE® door lock is delivered from the factory so that it
fits both right and left-hung doors, regardless of whether they
are inward or outward. Therefore, you may need to reverse
the direction of impact on the lock housing. This is done by
unscrewing the four small screws that hold the actual post to
the lock housing. Remove the post and turn the bottom two,
the latch and the trigger if they point incorrectly (the hook rule
should not be turned). At the end of the assembly, the handles
must also be fixed correctly on both the outer and inner part
with the two screws and the supplied screwdriver.
When mounting the outdoor part on the door, there are 2
arrows on both sides of the square pin that must point upwards
before you pull it through the lock housing and the side of the
square pin that is red must be facing upwards.
The emergency keys have a different function than other key
systems. To unlock, insert the key and turn 90 degrees (optional
direction), when the key is horizontal, you can open the door
with the handle. To get the key out again, you have to turn back
90 degrees, then the key can be taken out. It is important to
know where the emergency keys are and that these are not in
the home if you only have one entrance.
You must use the supplied insulation between the outer and
inner part, otherwise condensation can form between the cold
and hot side, which can create moisture damage inside the
door and inside the lock.
When you are ready to assemble your device, it is important to
go verify the checklist before closing the door for the first time.
