INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Installation

1.   Determine the location for the outlet.  Use a stud finder to indicate the

location of any obstructions in the wall before cutting.

2.   Using the supplied cutout template, a level and a marking device, trace

a level outline on the wall to follow for cutting out the opening.

3.   Use a drywall saw or a sharp utility knife to cut around the mark.   Take

care when cutting not to break any extra material out of the opening.

Test fit the box into the opening after the cut.  The box should fit tightly

into the opening.  Slack around the edges may allow the box to move

freely and come out over time, or may be visible around the edges of

the wall plate after installation.

4.   Route the electrical wire that will power the outlet from the existing

electrical circuit branch wiring to the wall cavity where the opening is.

Leave 12-14 inches of wire protruding from the opening to allow slack

for installation of the junction box and outlet.

5.   Strip back any outer jacket or conduit to leave 6 to 8 inches of insulated

single conductors, Route the wire into the box through the opening at

the top or bottom, depending on which way the wire comes through the

opening.

6.   Insert the box into the opening and use a Phillips screwdriver to tighten

the top and bottom clamping screws.  Use a level to align the box while

installing if necessary.

7.   After the back box is secure, strip the insulation back ¼ inch on each

conductor in the box and on the WB-200-IW-2.  Using the supplied wire

nuts, make the connections.  Green to green, white to white and black

to black.  Make sure no copper is exposed after installing the wire nuts.

Electrical tape can be wrapped around the wire and the nut for extra

protection.

8.   Insert the outlet into the box, folding the wires carefully behind it as it

goes in.  Use the included 6-32 mounting screws to secure the outlet to

the box.

9.   Turn on power to the outlet with no devices attached to it.  Use an

electrical outlet tester to make sure the connection is good.  Installation

is now complete.
