Starting and Stopping the Pump

Use the illustrations and instructions to start and
run the FLOTO-PUMP. Before you start the engine
for the first time, it is suggested that you familiarize
yourself with the pull distance and the force
required to start a high compression engine.
1 Open the fuel vent.
2 Rotate the choke lever to close the choke.
3 Toggle the
On/Off
switch to the On position.
4 Grasp the start handle and pull it to start the
engine. Open the choke once the engine is
stable.
Note:
The engine operates at idle until the
Floto is placed on water when the
throttle float increases the engine speed
to operating levels.
5 Once you complete the operation, toggle the
On/Off
switch to the
Off
position, close the
fuel vent, and remove the Floto from the water
using the provided handles .
CAUTION
High sound levels will
cause hearing loss.
