FLOW CENTER INSTALLATION AND LOOP FLUSHING MANUAL
PROBLEM
POSSIBLE CAUSE

Water drips out
Condensation
Water leak
Insulate piping.
Tighten connections.
Low fl ow / No fl ow
No power
Blow fuse
Broken or loose wires
Pump shaft stuck
Air lock
Improperly sized pump
Defective pump
No positive pressure
Viscous solution
Loop fl uid freezing or frozen
Kink in loop
Check power supply from the unit.
Replace fuse - check for cause.
Replace or tighten wires.
Remove the indicator plug and ensure that shaft is rotating.
Flush the loop to eliminate the air.
Add pump capacity.
Replace.
Check for leaks; add fl uid; fl ush loop in the earth loop (need
more than 3 psi).
Change type of antifreeze.
Switch Thermostat to air conditioning to see if fl ow improves
at warmer temperature; add antifreeze and measure freeze
protection.
Straighten or replace.
Noisy
Defective pump
Air in loop
Vibration
Replace.
Flush loop again.
Check mounting.
Pressure loss
Leak
Temperature change
Pipe expansion
Repair.
Not a problem, pressure should vary as temperature changes
(30 - 50 psi, 206 - 345 kPa).
Not a problem, plastic pipe relaxing.
Unit trips out on water fl ow,
low pressure, or high pressure
