Using the LCD Interface
You can use the LCD interface and buttons for different
operations.
The WatchGuard SSL device can operate in two modes:
Default Mode
The normal operating mode. The device boots
from the appliance software.
Safe Mode
Safe Mode returns your SSL device to the factory
default settings.
To put your device into safe mode, press and hold
the up arrow on the front panel during device
bootup. Keep the button depressed until you see
the words “Executing SysB.” While in Safe Mode,
the device completes system tests and restores
the default settings.
After the restore process is complete (about 60
seconds), the device automatically returns to
Default Mode. To return to Default Mode sooner,
manually power off and reboot the device.
You can then change the default device settings
using the WatchGuard SSL Web Manager.
LCD keypad button control
There are four buttons to the right of the LCD display.
Left Button
This button is the “selection” button. It scrolls
through the menu options to the left and lets you
select from different options.
Right Button
This button is also a "selection" button. It scrolls
through the menu options to the right and lets
you select from different options.
