Air borne noise
The airborne noise of the engine is measured as a sound power level according to ISO 9614-2.
Noise level is given as sound power emitted by the whole engine, reference level 1 pW. The
values presented in the graphs below are typical values, cylinder specific graphs are included
in the Installation Planning Instructions (IPI).

Exhaust noise
The exhaust noise of the engine is measured as the sound power emitted from the turbocharger
outlet without exhaust gas piping connected. Reference value 1 pW. The values presented in
the graphs below are typical values, cylinder specific graphs are included in the Installation
Planning Instructions (IPI).
