5.1

 

General information on care and 
maintenance 

Regular appropriate care and maintenance and the 
exclusive use of original spare parts are essential for 
trouble-free operation and a long markisolette lifetime. 

 

 

DANGER 

Risk of injury from operation of the markisolette 
when it is out of view. 

 

Disconnect the markisolette from the 
automatic control and/or power. 

 

 

NOTE 

Ensure that the markisolette is not moved during
maintenance and repair work in its direct proximity –
e.g. window-cleaning. 

 

 

 

Disconnect the markisolette from the power 
supply. 

 

 

CAUTION 

Risk of injury due to static charge! 

Contact with persons or objects may result in 
electrostatic discharge from statically charged 
fabric. 

 

 

DANGER 

Risk of injury and falling! 

 

Do not rest climbing aids against the 
markisolette.

Cleaning the markisolette

To ensure the longest 
possible life, we 
recommend you clean the 
surface of the markisolette 

regularly

 and at least once 

a year. 

 

 

CAUTION 

Product could be damaged by incorrect 
cleaning! 

 

Do 

not 

use high-pressure cleaners, 

abrasive products or sponges, or solvents 
such as alcohol or benzene. 

 

Do 

not 

support yourself on the product or 

parts of the product. 

 

 

Clean the markisolette regularly. Follow the procedure 
described in the following table. 

 

Remove leaves and other foreign bodies from the guide 
profiles immediately. 

 

Inspect the operating elements and fabric for visible 
wear and damage. 

 

Check the substructure for damage. 

 

Check that the markisolette is functioning properly. 
Watch the product as it travels the full range of 
movement and look out for any unusual behaviour or 
noises. 

 

Have any damage repaired by a qualified specialist as 
soon as you can. 

 

How to clean 

 

Wash the fabric with a mild detergent (water 
max. 30°C). 

 

Use suitable cleaning products on the 
surfaces. 

 

Remove any dust and/or dirt from the fabric 
and from the guide profiles. 

 

Use a clear rubber eraser to rub dirty marks 
off the fabric. 

 

Brush the cover (only coated polyester 
fabrics).
